Circulo Violeta emerges from the need to connect with other intersex, trans and non-binary artists.

Circulo Violeta emerges from the need to connect with other intersex, trans and non-binary artists. Recognizing that in Puerto Rico the trans, non-binary and intersex communities are invisibilized, marginalized and that they do not have effective andsafe spaces to connect and create exchanges about their experiences and needs as artists from a variety of disciplines. Circulo Violeta intends to be this space for gathering, initially virtually, creating thus an archive and living catalogue with the information of each artist and their practice. Aspiring then to have in-person gatherings that can help them build trans and intersex narratives from and in Puerto Rico. it is a collective of two trans and intersex artists whose mission is to create a network of intersex, trans and non-binary artists from Puerto Rico and its diasporas
