Astraea’s Global Arts Fund grantee partners are out in the world making change!

In May of this year, 2015 Global Arts Fund grantee partner Kawira Mwirichia exhibited khanga designs and photos from her project, To Revolutionary Type Love, at the Goethe Institut in Nairobi, Kenya in celebration of queer love and community.

As a follow up to her Global Arts Fund grant, Mwirichia said:

“Thanks to Astraea’s Global Arts Fund, we’ve been able to get this project off to a great start! …[W]e’ve been able to set up a powerful online presence for the project where we keep reaching out to the community with what the project is about, as well as share with them the fascinating queer histories and stories we’re coming across as we put this work together. Through this page, we’ve also been able to reach out to organizations all over the world about what we’re doing and get them involved in sharing our work! …Because of this support, the TRTL project now has the tools and platform needed to put together a very professional website, which we can update at our own convenience and at no cost to ourselves! Please visit https://torevolutionarytypelove.com to see for yourself!”
