The “Intersex-CIS” started July 7, 2013. Initially, the organizers created the only platform in a post-Soviet space for people with “disorders of sex development” in the format of a closed forum (http://intersex.su). In 2017, they opened the first full-fledged information resource in post-Soviet countries about intersex people samost.org. Currently, the organization’s leadership consists of three people, two of whom are located in Moscow, one in Kazakhstan. The network has members from Siberia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The main focus of the organization is aimed at support intersex people and information activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus. Over the past seven years, they have tied dozens of intersex people from Siberia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and European Russia with an invisible thread. Thanks to their network, Russian intersex organizations have received new members and volunteers in their groups. Over the past two years, they have been working on the creation of the largest Internet information resource in Russia for intersex people (self.org), however, due to lack of funds and free time, they do not have time to follow the full range of news on a daily basis. Their new site for Kazakhstan in Kazakh and Russian (inter2.org) is currently being developed.
