Astraea's International Fund for Sexual Minorities was established in 1996, the first institutional fund in the U.S. devoted to supporting LBGTI organizations worldwide. Since its inception, the Fund has invested in innovative LGBTI-led human rights and social change organizations and projects in over 70 countries across Africa, the Americas, Asia, Eastern Europe/Commonwealth of Independent States and the Middle East.
