Grant supported the first ever Asian Lesbian Film Festival, launched in Taipei in August 2005, and coordinated close collaboration with lesbian groups in Hong Kong, China, the Philippines and Korea. $2,000

International Centre for Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights (Minna, Nigeria) is a Nigerian organization advocating for the rights of sexual minorities under the framework of reproductive health and sexual rights. Grant supported participation in the 10th International Women and Health Meeting (IWHM) in New Delhi/India, which focused on issues of reproductive and sexual health rights and LGBT justice. $1,051

International Initiative for Visibility of Queer Muslims (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina) provides education and support regarding critical issues facing queer Muslims around the world. The initiative has a particular focus on the development of LGBTIQ work in Muslim countries. Grant supported presentation of a paper at the 2005 Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Religion. $2,000

Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, All-Sexuals and Gays (Kingston, Jamaica) works to guarantee the human rights and equality of lesbians, all-sexuals and gays in Jamaican society through advocacy and education, with a particular focus on the conditions facing poor gay men, all-sexuals and lesbians. Grant supported the convening and development of a Caribbean LGBT Human Rights Network. $10,000

The Inner Circle (Fordsburg, South Africa) is an LGBT Muslim organization working for the social and spiritual development of sexually diverse communities. Grant supported travel of lesbians and trans activists to participate in The Inner Circle's 3rd Annual International Retreat in Cape Town. The Retreat focused on strengthening networks of activists, scholars and stakeholders to better respond to issues of gender, sexuality and human rights in Muslim contexts. $1,500

Women's Support Group (Nawala, Sri Lanka), was the first women's organization in Sri Lanka to dedicate itself to LBT issues. Established in 1999, WSG works to combat discrimination and create a safe and supportive community for lesbians, bisexual women, and transgender people in Sri Lanka through education, community-building and community-based action.
