GALZ operates an l/g/b/t center, providing counseling, a crisis-line, and support groups, and conducts litigation to fight for l/g/b/t human rights. Grant was to support their response to a vicious homophobic hate campaign in Zimbabwe precipitated by GALZ's involvement in the World Council of Churches December 1998 meeting in Harare.
