Even in times of uncertainty, there is one thing I know for sure:  collective action is the key to transformational change.  Now more than ever, we ask you to join with Astraea to amplify the voices of the LGBTI activists, advocates and artists across the globe that depend on our support.

Last year – with your support – Astraea awarded $2.2 million in grants to 219 organizations and individuals in 47 countries.  These organizations reach tens of thousands of individuals – spurring awareness, action and change.

This year, as more corporations and foundations face diminishing resources and individuals endure economic hardship, the very existence of our grantee partners is held in the balance.  We must make sure their hard-won progress continues.

This is where you step in—together we can resource our movement for a just and equitable society.

Your contribution can sustain the work of those left out of economic recovery plans. You can ensure that social justice work is not lost, that human rights remain a priority, and that LGBTI activism and art continue to flourish in this economic climate.

Over the next three months, Astraea’s goal is to raise $300,000 from individuals like you  to ensure that our LGBTI partners get the support they need and deserve.

Please join with Astraea to achieve the justice that none of us can achieve alone.  We are counting on you because so many count on Astraea.

Sincerely,

Katherine Acey
Executive Director

no sharp edges or precise borders. That's because true
social change is propelled forward, from person to
person, community to community, continent to continent.
