The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice is the worlds' only foundation solely dedicated to supporting LGBTI (lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender and intersex) organizations in the United States and internationally. From Buenos Aires to Chicago, Freetown to San Antonia, Astraea grantees—often facing physical danger—are working strategically and tirelessly to advance the human rights for all LGBTI people. We prioritize funding for lesbian and trans-led communities of color and organizations doing multi-racial, anti-racist work. This past year we issued $1.9 million in grants to LGBTI groups around the world.
