NEW YORK, NY, Friday, September 7, 2007—The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice has named Tata Traore-Rogers, a seasoned professional in the non-profit management and service delivery arenas, as its Deputy Director.
Katherine Acey, Astraea's Executive Director said, "Fluent in five languages and a former resident of Senegal, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and France, Tata brings to Astraea a unique and vast intercultural perspective. Astraea has two staff positions open, and we're hoping that you can help

Many of you know that Joo-Hyun Kang, Astraea's Director of Programs for the past four years, is leaving Astraea and moving on to new challenges at the end of October. Joo-Hyun helped build a wonderful, skilled and strong grants team—a team which is now expanding to five with the position of Associate Director of Grantmaking. This brand new position will enable Astraea to increase—even more—our efforts at grantmaking both within the U.S. and the Global South and East.
