Dear Ariel,

As you may know, this week is marked by an historic gathering of people passionately committed to social justice.  The first ever U.S. Social Forum is bringing together activists, donors, academics, volunteers, and members of the many social movements working in the U.S. and transnationally to coordinate agendas, learn from each other and build solidarity.

Astraea staff, grant partners, donors and peer organizations have been in Atlanta since Monday and are leading and participating in a number of workshops and events.  This morning, for example, Astraea, in partnership with the Ms. Foundation for Women, The Funding Exchange, the Overbrook Foundation and the Third Wave Foundation, convened a Feminist Funders' Delegation Breakfast for groups and individuals that received travel grants to attend the Social Forum.

Below, please find a list of some of the many LGBTI-specifc workshops, cultural events and activities that are certain to help further our shared vision of a more just world.  Please note that these are only a few of the thousands of sessions taking place and in which members of our communities will be participating. To see the full list of U.S. Social Forum workshops and more detailed session descriptions visit: https://www.ussf2007.org/en/submitted_proposals

Warmly,

Alex
