Audre Lorde Project (Brooklyn, NY) is the nation's only Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Two Spirit and Trans (LGBTST) People of Color center for community organizing. Through mobilization, education and capacity-building, ALP works for community wellness and progressive social and economic justice. Grant was for sponsorship of ALP's annual The Power We Have event. $250

Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies (New York, NY) is a center at the City University of New York dedicated to making the work of educators, activists, scholars and community members available to broad LGTBQ communities within and outside the university. Grant supported the Queer CUNY VII Conference. $1,000

Grassroots Fundraising Journal (Oakland, CA) provides information critical to fundraising, building and sustaining successful organizations. Grant supported Raising Change: A Social Justice Fundraising Conference. $2,500

GRIOT Circle (Brooklyn, NY) is an intergenerational and culturally diverse community organization seeking to address the needs of LGBT elders, particularly elders of color. Grant supports their 10th Anniversary event. $1,000

Identity House (New York, NY) works to create a volunteer community that supports and advocates for LGBTQ adults. Identity House is dedicated to helping people discover their worth and share the struggles — and joys — of being gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. Grant supports their Women of Color Event. $500

Mautner Project for Lesbians with Cancer (Washington, DC) provides direct services to lesbians with cancer, their families and caregivers. They educate policymakers about lesbians, promote lesbian health issues and research, and empower local grassroots groups and individuals to do the same. Grant supports Mautner's 15th Anniversary Dinner. $1,000

National Center for Lesbian Rights (San Francisco, CA) advances the rights of lesbians and their families through litigation, public policy advocacy, free legal counseling and public education. Grant supported their 29th Anniversary Gala. $2,500

National Youth Advocacy Coalition (Washington, DC) advocates for and with LGBTQ young people in an effort to end discrimination and to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of LGBTQ youth. Grant supports the LGBT Hurricane Relief Fund, which raised almost $100,000 to distribute to organizations providing relief efforts for LGBT youth and families from devastated areas in Louisiana and Mississippi. $5,000

New Festival (New York, NY) is a media arts organization dedicated to showcasing the newest and best LGBT media for the greater New York metropolitan area. Programming includes the annual NewFest: The New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Film Festival, a comprehensive forum of U.S. and international LGBT film/video. Grant supported NewFest 2005. $500

New York City Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project (New York, NY) provides services and support to LGBT HIV+ survivors of violence, and engages in community education and advocacy to reform government policies on violence. Grant supports the Courage Awards/AVP's 25th Anniversary Benefit. $1,000
