Funders for Lesbian and Gay Issues (New York, NY) is comprised of individual donors and grantmakers from private, public, family, corporate and community foundations advocating for increased funding support for the LGBT community. Grant is for an institutional membership. $1,000
Funding Exchange (New York, NY) is a network of progressive grassroots groups whose work challenges and alters economic and social relationships and institutions that are inequitable and undemocratic. Grant is for the Rye Collaborative, a network of national public charities. $20,000
Ms. Foundation (New York, NY) supports the efforts of women and girls to govern their own lives and influence the world around them. The Foundation champions an equitable society by effecting change in public consciousness, law, philanthropy and social policy. Grant is for sponsorship of the 15th Annual Gloria Awards during May 2003. $1,000
National Network of Grantmakers (Brooklyn, NY) is an organization of individuals involved in funding social and economic justice. NNG is committed to the goal of increasing resources, financial and otherwise, to organizations working for social change. $1,000
North Star Fund (New York, NY) is a unique partnership of donors and community activists dedicated to building a permanent institutional and financial base for progressive social change. Grant is in memory of Vasiliki "Betty" Kapetanakis and for 2003 Community Gala sponsorship. $1,000
Third Wave Foundation (New York, NY) provides resources to support the cutting-edge work of young women activists through grantmaking, public education campaigns and networking programs. Grant is for Celebrate Third Wave Day. $500
Women & Philanthropy (Washington, DC) advocates within the field of philanthropy for the full engagement of women and girls in society. Grant is for an institutional partner membership. $250
Women's Funding Network (San Francisco, CA) is a worldwide partnership of women's funds, donors and allies committed to social justice and to changing society by improving the status of women and girls locally, nationally and internationally. Grant is for a 2002 partner membership. $2,500
Women's Sports Foundation (East Meadow, NY) runs the Project to Eliminate Homophobia in Sport, which addresses prejudice against lesbian and bisexual women in sports. Through a groundbreaking video and manual, the project educates athletes, parents, guardians, coaches and administrators about the origins and effects of homophobia. $2,500
Woman Vision (San Francisco, CA) promotes tolerance and equality of all people via the production and use of educational media, including film and video. Grant was made possible through Astraea's 2002 Lynn Campbell Event Collaboration. $4,000
